Brief description of the company
Frigorífico Pico is a family company with vast experience in the meatpacking industry - 7th generation in the business - with more than 850 customers worldwide and a productive capacity of 14,000 heads/month. Its owners, Ernesto and Alan Lowenstein (father and son), are the 7th generation in the meat industry, the last three in Argentina and the previous ones in Europe. Born from a spirit of tradition and innovation, Frigorífico Pico provides Selected High Quality Beef under an unique and exclusive product selection reliable protocol which allows a complete control of the classification process according to customer needs, product use and gastronomic evaluation of the cut. The company has two plants in Argentina in the province of La Pampa in the cities of General Pico (Plant Nr 2531) and Trenel (Plant Nr 2792). Both plants are located in the middle of the so-called Humid Pampa, one of the largest reservoirs in the world with the best beef breeds, Hereford and Aberdeen Angus. Most of the cattle selected by Frigorifico Pico are naturally raised in the open field, grass fed & grain finished in their last stage of growth which makes our meat a special product with a remarkable tenderness, exceptionally juiciness and the unique flavor of The Pampas. Animals are supplied within a radius of 300km, ensuring shorter journeys and thus contributing to the environment, animal welfare and product quality. These properties are enhanced by technology and the highest national and international quality and food safety standards: HACCP certification - BRCGS certification - Animal Welfare certification. Kosher and Halal certification. Shipment Operation by Air and by Boat.
