During May 2025, the Argentine Embassy in Italy carried out an outstanding programme of commercial, tourist, food and wine, and sporting promotion activities, with a strong presence of Argentine beef, consolidating its position as a flagship product of quality, tradition and sophistication.

 

International Malbec Celebration – 5 May 2025

The Argentine Embassy hosted a new edition of the international event dedicated to Malbec wine. On this occasion, Argentine beef was one of the main dishes, accompanying the outstanding selection of national wines. Thanks to the collaboration with Doc Italy, chefs and leading figures in local gastronomy such as Salvo Cravero, Luca Di Francesco, Elio Testa and Bruno Brunori, among others, delighted those present with dishes specially designed to enhance the flavours of our beef, supplied by the IPCVA (Argentine Beef Promotion Institute)

The event brought together around 130 people, including entrepreneurs from the food and wine sector, restaurateurs, specialised journalists and tour operators, strengthening the link between Argentine products of excellence and their positioning in the Italian market.

 

 

 

Copa Italia Polo Challenge – 21 to 24 May 2025

As part of the prestigious ‘Copa Italia Polo Challenge’, organised by the Italian Equestrian Sports Federation (FISE) and the Italian Olympic Committee (CONI), the Embassy actively participated by sponsoring the event. The competition took place at the ‘Galoppatoio Romano’ field in Villa Borghese, Rome.

Coordinated with FISE Polo Director Alessandro Giachetti and with the collaboration of player and tournament creator Patricio Rattagan, the event included a colourful opening ceremony with an equestrian parade through iconic locations in Rome.

On the final day, Argentine beef tastings were offered by chef Saverio Nanni, accompanied by Malbec wines from 12 national wineries. This initiative positioned Argentine beef in a high-level sporting environment, aligning it with the values of polo: elegance, tradition and quality.

 

 

Italy-Argentina Friendship Dinner with Parliamentarians – 27 May 2025

The Embassy also organised, together with Italian-Argentine Senator Borghese, an institutional dinner at the restaurant ‘El Porteño’, attended by Italian parliamentarians, diplomatic representatives and companies such as ENI, Leonardo, IZI and Globant.

The evening included a gastronomic offering based on Argentine beef, reaffirming its prestige in a high-level political and business context. The event promoted cultural exchange and strengthened bilateral ties, once again highlighting Argentine beef as a symbol of our national identity.

 

 

These events have been strategic in enhancing the visibility and recognition of Argentine beef in various areas of the Italian scene.
