During April and May 2025, the Argentine Embassy in Washington D.C. held two prominent commercial and institutional promotion events in which Argentine beef, provided by the Argentine Beef Promotion Institute (IPCVA), took centre stage alongside other national products.
As part of Malbec World Day celebrations, the Embassy's Economic and Commercial Section organised an event focused on promoting Argentine wine, one of the country's flagship products.
The event brought together importers, distributors and leaders from the wine and gastronomy sectors, who enjoyed a carefully selected range of high-quality Argentine beef cuts paired with Malbec wines and other varietals from various producing regions of the country.
The meeting not only strengthened the position of Argentine wine, but also that of Argentine beef as a premium product in the competitive US market, highlighting key attributes such as traceability, sustainability and internationally recognised quality.
This initiative is part of the Embassy's efforts to promote Argentine exports, position national products in the US market, and consolidate a country image associated with quality, innovation, and added value.
In addition, in commemoration of Argentina's national holiday on 25 May, Ambassador Alejandro Oxenford hosted an official reception at the Embassy, combining institutional celebrations with a culinary experience featuring typical Argentine flavours.
The event brought together US government officials, members of the diplomatic corps and business leaders, who participated in a tasting of emblematic cuts of Argentine beef.
This gastronomic offering not only reinforced Argentina's prestige as a producer of food excellence, but also served as a valuable tool for economic diplomacy, strengthening bilateral ties and projecting a country image based on quality, tradition and professionalism.
