He further pledged, “The Argentine Embassy will spare no effort in promoting more high-quality products to enter the Chinese market, fully unlocking the complementary strengths of our two economies.”

Georges Breitschmitt, President  of the Argentine Beef Promotion Institute (IPCVA), highlighted the industry’s ongoing upgrades: “We are making every effort to ensure that our entire range of Argentine beef products is available for export to the Chinese market, especially offal, which is  highly valued by Chinese consumers.

Secretary of Trade Esteban Marzorati emphasized the importance of China as a destination, accounting for nearly 70% of Argentina’s beef exports. “The National Government has been collaborating with trade and health authorities in both Argentina and China to expand the list of approved products — such as tripe, tongue, and other offal — and to increase the number of registered Argentine processing facilities,” he stated.

At the event, Argentine and Chinese renowned chefs showcased classic dishes such as Argentine-style “empanadas”, using Argentine beef as the main ingredient, and tastings of various dishes based on Argentine beef .This culinary exchange not only highlighted the tenderness, juiciness, and natural flavor of Argentine beef but also symbolized the deep cultural fusion between Chinese and Argentine cuisines

The special networking session at Argentina Beef Day attracted nearly 100 participants, including meat importers, restaurant representatives, and industry experts from both China and Argentina. Attendees engaged in discussions on supply chain optimization and market expansion, with several companies reaching preliminary cooperation agreements with Argentine suppliers. IPCVA Vice President Mario Ravettino emphasized in an interview: “The dynamic openness of the Chinese market creates opportunities for global businesses. We will strengthen trust through a secure and traceable system and accelerate channel innovation by leveraging e-commerce giants like JD.com.” It is reported that IPCVA recently signed a strategic agreement with JD.com at the 2025 SIAL West Asia Expo to promote online sales of Argentine beef and simultaneously upgrade the traceability system. By 2026, “individual traceability” will be implemented, allowing consumers to precisely track the farm origin of each piece of beef through labels.
